San Diego’s Jamul Community
The rural community of Jamul in San Diego’s east lands has diverse residential housing options from condominiums to detached homes. Many Jamul homes were custom built and have designer upgrades. Neighboring communities include Dulzura, Chula Vista, and Spring Valley. There are beautiful new homes interspersed with older, smaller ranches in the hills with that country-feel. Horse lovers are abundant and pickups and horse trailers are often seen on the road here. Commutes to San Diego are a bit lengthy, about a half-hour or more. Now developing right along with surrounding neighborhoods, Jamul was once a remote area of San Diego County, but with the help of new roads and neighboring casinos, commutes are easier and jobs are plentiful.
