The community of Fallbrook borders Camp Pendleton and has a distinct rural atmosphere about it, including beautiful California scenery. Town homes start at $140,000, while single family homes start at $200,000 and go as high as $2 million for a Fallbrook ranch estate home. The north part of this community is hill country as far as the Santa Margarita River. Fallbrook has an established agricultural sector, with a mixed population of blue collar workers and Marine Corp personnel. Expensive custom homes are sprinkled across the hillside acreage, with downtown San Diego only about 60 miles away.
