In an area once covered with scrubs, rattlesnakes, and jackrabbits called the Morena Mesa, Clairemont, Ca. came to be, having been named in honor of the developer’s wife Claire Tavares. The community has three public libraries, Tecolote Canyon preserve and park, four shopping centers, three high schools and a community college. It also has three middle schools and twelve elementary schools. Neighboring communities include Linda Vista, Pacific Beach and Mission Bay.
Also called Clairemont Mesa, Clairemont, is a hillside community that is a great location for new families and retirees. Housing ranges from single-family to multi-family housing units.
