Ocean Beach
Lost in the 60’s, Ocean Beach is truly the traditional home of the surfing culture. Surf shops service a proud body of surfers and others that enjoy the California beach lifestyle. Newport Ave. lends character with shops specializing in beach wares, antique shops and the like. The residential area is a blend of nostalgic cottages and more family-oriented neighborhoods to the south end. Costly cliff-side homes are situated along Sunset Cliffs Blvd. to the south, with well known surf spots along Sunset Cliffs Pk., including Abs, South Garbage, and Newbreak.
